Repair and restoration projects can be time consuming and frustrating but in the end it’s fun being able to restore old mounts back to their original condition. Sometimes you end up with something that looks better than it did originally because of the technology, tools, and supplies that we have today.
Some examples of projects that I have taken on and been successful with:
1. Dyeing deer mounts back to their original color
2. Fixing broken fins on fish
3. Fixing broken antler tines
4. Repainting fish
You would be surprised at what can be done. If a old mount is handed down to ya, don’t throw it away – even if its falling apart or looking bad! Bring it on by to Wyrick’s Taxidermy and I will take a look at it and see what can be done.
