Bird skull cleaning by beetles

I had mentioned in a previous post that bird skulls could be cleaned by beetles. It’s another option of something to do with your birds.I’m going to make a barnboard background with trophy plate labels for some that I have and will post it in a few months. You could also get a bunch of them done and put them in a shadow box.I only put these in the beetles during the summer months because there is so many little intricate details in a bird skull and I dont want them to dry out any and the beetles have trouble getting into the areas and possibly breaking something.
Some included in the pictures are Tundra Swan, Mallard, Greenwing Teal, Woodie ,Turkey, Common Merganser
